Improving New York's Transportation Infrastructure. Congressman Meeks philosophy is simple when it comes to New York and our nation's aging infrastructure - it is time to invest and rebuild.  Congressman Meeks understands that our economy and quality of life will only be enhanced through improvements to our transportation infrastructure.

He has successfully secured hundreds of millions of dollars for such projects as: JFK Light rail, East Side Access Project, downtown Jamaica, sewer enhancement projects for southeast Queens - Rosedale, Laurelton and Springfield Gardens, and infrastructure improvements for Far Rockaway's central business district.  Gregory is also working on a billion initiatives to bring a one-seat ride from lower Manhattan to JFK/Jamaica.

Meanwhile, Congressman Meeks was the first Member of New York's Congressional delegation to support Mayor Bloomberg's effort to bring the New York Jets back to NYC and the 2012 Summer Olympic games with the proposed-construction of a $2 billion stadium on Manhattan's Westside.
