Meeks Will Provide Buses for Local Volunteers to Work in Battle Ground States

(Jamaica, New York)--With just 50 days before the Nov. 4 election, Congressman Gregory W. Meeks (D-NY) is providing buses for Southeast Queens volunteers to work in battleground states to help elect Senator Barack Obama for the upcoming presidential election.  Meeks is providing buses for constituents who will knock on doors register voters and make campaign calls. The first stop is Pennsylvania, with buses leaving at 7:00 A.M. on Saturday, September 20 from the Guy Brewer United Democratic Club located at 197-01 Linden Blvd, St Albans, NY.   Meeks also serves as the Chair of the Congressional Black Caucus Political Action Committee, (PAC) with the support of the Democratic National Committee, which will kick off its "Time For Change" tour to help get out the vote. US Rep Meeks will travel the country in the coming weeks  as one of Obama's top surrogates.
