Washington, DC - Congressman Gregory Meeks applauds President-Elect Barack Obama on becoming the 44th President of the United States and becoming this nation’s first African American President. For the past several months he has spoken with the American people about his plans for strengthening our nation’s education system, providing universal healthcare to all and recovering our economy.
